Chemistry Christmas '07

Somehow these pictures from the Chemistry Christmas party never made it onto Will and Beyond. I put them on Facebook, but seemingly forgot about here, sad. Anyhow, take a look at the Christmas festivities, and ogle at the amazing Santa who paid a visit.

Jones Holiday Soda

posted 02/04/08 @ 10:16PM EST

Every year, Jones Soda makes a holiday batch of sodas. This year they had a Christmas and Hanukkah pack. In the Christmas pack was Christmas Ham. So I talked someone who eats kosher into splitting the costs of ordering a pack of each, and we did a taste test throughout the department.

Merry Christmas Update

will posted 12/26/07 @ 3:29AM EST

Merry Christmas everyone! No internet here at the house, so I'm just using my phone, which unfortunately limits me to these 'news' updates. Perhaps I'll take a trip to that coffee place with Wifi one of these mornings. Adios for now.
Godspeed.

Snow, Links, and Christmas Update

will posted 12/06/07 @ 8:13PM EST

It snowed here in DC!!! Very good stuff, made it really feel like Winter. I was already feeling the Christmas spirit, but now I am even more than before. We put up the Chemistry department Christmas tree, and decorated it mostly. I have pictures, but I'll wait 'til later to post them once I have a full collection.

I updated the links page this morning. I was going to post it before I left for class, but that didn't happen, and good thing. As I was leaving for the day, Christina showed me the link below, and now I can post that as well without having to make a separate post for it.

Heat, Eat, Review
Restaurant/Recipe Reviews sites have been done, but this was new. They review frozen food. Good stuff.

That's it for now, I should eat dinner and study for finals.
Godspeed.

Rockefeller Christmas Tree '06

posted 10/05/07 @ 6:38PM EST

Posted a little late, but it's okay. I didn't go to the Rockefeller Tree lighting this year; I think I had a test the next day or something, plus nobody else wanted to stand in the cold with me. So Dianna and I went down there a couple days later and saw it.

So there is a guy in a snowman costume. However his friend wants a tip. Can't he wait 'til I'm not in the middle of taking the picture???

Gingerbread House Construction Pictures

will posted 05/31/07 @ 2:05AM EST

This update is past midnight, so I technically didn't update on a day that I was supposed to. But whatever, it's not the next day until I go to bed, so in my mind I'm still okay. I posted pictures from when Dianna and I built a Gingerbread House this past Christmas. It was fun, I had never done it before. Next year I want to do it again, but bake the gingerbread myself and everything.

Going to play Handball in the morning, then watch all the 24 episodes that I missed cause of finals with Adam, Jared, and Rick. Then I'm going to go to see Talha's apartment with Dianna. Then we're going to go to Yuka and gorge on all you can eat sushi. I'm pretty excited, I haven't been there in a while. Not sure when I'll get a chance to update tomorrow, but I'll try my best.

Godspeed.

Gingerbread House Construction

For Christmas, I got Gingerbread House Kits for Dianna and I. We had a fun time making them. I gave mine to Talha as a Christmas gift, and Dianna's sat on my bookshelf looking pretty for a loooooong time. It was a good time.

Do you notice some sort of theme to the front of my house?

Beckmas '06

Every year, Beck decides to blasphemize Christmas, so why should 2006 be any different? Come inside and see Beckmas cheer, and who knows, maybe Santa Clause will even make an appearance.

The Christmas Tree Erection

will posted 11/19/06 @ 6:00PM EST

I decided to put up my Christmas tree a little early this year, and of course it must be an event. I invited people over, and we all put together the tree, put up lights, ornaments, garland, and tinsel. We drank my home-made egg nog, ate Talha's Chex Mix, our "Christmas" pizzas, Cynthia's ham and plantains. We watched Christmas movies, listened to Christmas music, and got all filled up with Christmas Spirit. Verrrry fun times. Here are the pictures from the event.

I'm gonna head to Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon to meet up with everyone for Thanksgiving. It should be fun times, gonna eat lots of Turkey, and an equally large amount of cheesesteak. Gotta work on grad school stuff more pretty soon here, but all in due time.

The Wii came out this morning at midnight, so we've been home playing it since then, minus a few hours of sleep. So far I've played Wii Sports, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, and Red Steel. All have been fun, and I'm gonna go play some more in a few minutes once I get this update all wrapped up. Adios for now.
Godspeed.

The Christmas Tree Erection

posted 11/19/06 @ 12:00AM EST

I will say this only once, it's never too early for Christmas! We put up the Christmas tree on the Friday night before Thanksgiving. Fun times were had by all. There were Christmas movies, Christmas music, Christmas food, Christmas tree, Christmas lights, and Christmas spirit among many other fun Christmas pastimes.

Talha brought stuff over and made us delicious spicy Chex Mix, while Shashi is in the background preparing our Christmas themed pizzas.

Christmas '04

posted 05/30/06 @ 12:00AM EST

It was Christmas time again, but instead of Palladium, I was living at the 26th Street dorm at NYU. The space is a LOT more confined, but was that going to stop me from putting up my tree, of course not! This was of course much to Yan's delight who had to try and share that space with me. Come take a look at a few pictures I snapped from around Christmas time, and a trip Dianna and I took to see our little tree's big brother.

Christmas '05

posted 01/11/06 @ 12:00AM EST

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go! This is the best part of the years, hands down. There is no competition. Snow, Christmas, my Birthday, Time off School? I can't really think of anything else that you could ask for. So here are some pictures of me and my family celebrating this amazing holiday.

A real fireplace with real stockings...and a fake tree.

Beckmas '05

What happens when you mix Beck and Christmas? Beckmas, the unholiest day in all of religion! Come celebrate with a great feast, presents, and a large gathering of people. I happen to also have a birthday conveniently around this time, so it's a good time for all. Inside you'll find pictures of the great feast and all the people relaxing now that finals have come to an end.

Christmas Update

will posted 12/27/04 @ 2:43AM EST

Heh interesting stuff. So I missed my plane to Portland. I'm writing this update now at the airport on Christmas night. I'll be getting into Portland around 12:15 at night. I ended up going over to Dianna's house and having Christmas Eve Dinner and Dim Sum (Chinese brunch) with all her family. It's definitely an experience when you're you can see the tops of everyone's heads, and can only understand about 5% of the conversation. Hehe, it was fun times though.
They gave me a ride to (and from, when I missed my flight) the airport, and I got here pretty early this time - cause missing another flight would probably get me disowned from my family. Christmas brunch was postponed til the 26th, all on a count of me. Imagine if I missed my flight again. That would be noooo good. Oh well, not an issue - I'm at the terminal with a boarding pass, can't happen. I'll upload this when I get a chance, probably the night of the 26th - we shall see. I will most likely do some more updates while I'm at the airport, since I have some time.

Edit: Update from 30,000 feet! Not sure on actual elevation, but that sounds right. So when I do get to uploading these updates, you will have a new page of pictures from this year; random ones like the 1st Year College People section. It's in the picture section on the right. On another note, you should all get Jon Stewart's Book; America: The Book. It's hilarious, and very entertaining. I went the Audiobook approach, and it's great cause I get to hear Jon Stewart himself reading it; good stuff I say. If any of you want my copy of it, ask me in some weeks when I get back to NYU where I'll have my fast connection again. I would have updated more, but they showed A Shark's Tale and Elf. Right now they're showing Princess Diaries 2. And that's why I resumed listening to Jon Stewart, and updating the site.

Edit:They got rid of the internet at my house, so I won't be updating much, but when I do, they'll be bigger updates. Adios for now.

Godspeed.

Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting '03

posted 04/12/04 @ 12:00AM EST

The first picture album posted here on Will and Beyond in its new form. Dianna, Steve, Vivian and I trekked out to Rockefeller Center, to see the biggest Christmas Tree in the country (I think?) being lit up in the middle of Manhattan. Let me tell you, New York gets cold and all, but that coldness is increased tenfold when you're doing nothing but standing there. It was a fun time though in retrospect, and I think I'm starting to feel my toes about now. I learned never to do this again! Until the next year...

It's the tree...but where are all the pretty lights?
